University bridge in Bydgoszcz: Distributed fibre optic measurements (DFOS) of steel anchorages during their renovation

Known for its distinctive geometry, this structure is considered as one of Poland’s most iconic bridges. Despite its inauguration in 2014, a mere seven years into operation, the steel plates within the cable anchorages underwent a failure, specifically yielding. To address this issue, a DFOS system was employed to monitor and oversee the strengthening process.
