The basic results of a pilot research carried out in the Institute of Building Materials and Structures of Cracow University of Technology are presented and discussed in detail. Basing on measurement data it is possible to calculate elastic modulus of concrete, estimate material homogeneity and analyse many other aspects such as crack condition and relation between longitudinal and transverse strains.
