Rayleigh-based distributed strain measurements with monolithic sensors: thermal compensation
The novelty of the presented research lies in:
- the theoretical explanation of thermal performance of monolithic DFOS sensors in comparison to layered sensing cables;
- the analysis and correction for strain data measured with monolithic sensors placed in a thermal chamber;
- the verification of the laboratory results and the proposed approach to real field conditions: in a concrete footbridge deck and in a steel underground gas pipeline.
