How do Nerve-Sensors work in practice?
From theory to practice! Below is a description of one of the many tests conducted in our research field.
The underground PE pipe (Ø200 mm, t = 11 mm) was investigated using distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) and optical Nerve-Sensors glued to the pipe, as well as embedded in the surrounding ground at selected depths. Different locations and types of sensors:
were used to determine the dynamic response of the structure due to different vibration sources. Measurements were taken at 40 kHz sampling frequency over the entire length of the pipe.

On our specially prepared research field we can show the operation of DFOS sensors in practice. We also provide training. Contact us!
