Nerve-Sensors in Porto!

We had the great pleasure to participate in the conference, dedicated to smart structures. Our sensors was used in monitoring system provided by SHM System Company. It was a good time for a discussion among experts on the use of Nerve-Sensors to monitor and control infrastructure. In the presentation, we focused on high performance of EpsilonRebars integrated with prestressed concrete girders during all construction stages – from early-age concrete and prestressing to mechanical load tests. We thank the organizers and all the participants!

International RILEM Conference CRC2021 – Paris

The International RILEM Conference on Early age and long-term crack width in RC structures (CRC 2021), organised by the homonymous RILEM Technical committee 287-CCS, has been successfully held in 9th April 2021. This event was a good balance between attendants from research institutions, industry and standard and drafting committees. The conference took place in hybrid online/physical format, with most of the 210 attendants being online. Our Nerve-Sensors was presented on virtual exhibition stand and during the presentstion of article „Distributed Optical Fibre Sensors for Strain and Temperature Monitoring of Early-Age Concrete: Laboratory and In-situ Examples„.

We thank the Organizers for a great job!

TOPBUILDER 2021 Awards

We are pleased to announce that the result of our long-term work on our globally unique, fiber-optic displacement sensor 3DSensor was awarded during TOPBUILDER 2021 ceremony. We sincerely thank the Organizers and all other winners!

3DSensor is the first fibre optic sensor, which allows to determine the profile of vertical and horizontal displacements as well as the temperature of the tested medium ” e.g. the ground ” on almost any length of distance.

TOPBUILDER is valued in the Polish construction market award for outstanding product, object or service in a given year.

Laboratory tests of the SMART PIPE project

Together with Ferrum SA we are starting to work on „SMART PIPE” project. The aim of these research will be developing a continuous monitoring system of pipelines. This will allow to increase safety and extend time of operation the pipelines through early warning system.

Krzysztof Kasprzycki, CEO of Ferrum said:

„SMART PIPE” solutions are based on data readings from a number of sensors, which will check the condition state of pipes and will alert of any potential danger in advance. This will allow for preventive action and will give time for immediate reaction.

Tytan 2018 award for fiber optic 3DSensor

The 3DSensor has been awarded the TYTAN award in the Product/Technology category. For 16 years already, INŻYNIERIA Publishing House has been carrying this award to projects, products and technologies that stand out on the Polish market. In the area of geoengineering, the winners were selected by a committee composed of members:

The award ceremony TITAN 2018 took place during the official gala on 5 December during the 8th Conference „Geoengineering in Construction”. We would like to thank INŻYNIERIA Sp. z o.o. Publishing House and members of the Jury for this distinction.

Word of thanks to all our customers! We do not stop searching for new solutions and creating new technologies for you. We are very happy and with doubled energy we return to work!

Master of Technology – awards ceremony

On 14 October 2019 in Legnica, a ceremonial XLIII Days of Science and Technology Gala was held, during which awards in the competition of the Master of Copper Mining Technology were presented. It was an opportunity for SHM System to celebrate, together with KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., The Hydrotechnical Plant Branch, receiving the award in the competition organised by the SNT NOT „Copper Belt” Federation Council.

The project entitled „The use of the 3DSensor sensor to build an innovative system for monitoring the technical condition of the reinforced concrete structure of the overflow tower located in the OUOW Żelazny Most tank” was honoured.

The uniqueness of the Iron Bridge forces us to search for and develop unique solutions. KGHM Polska Miedź is a pioneer in the application of innovative measurement systems, not only in Poland, but also worldwide. An example of such activities is, among others, the search for opportunities to use DFOS (distributed fibre optic sensing) techniques to analyse the safety of tank buildings  Radosław Stach, Vice-President of the Management Board for Production, stressed on the Biznesalert.pl portal

The system was built on the basis of the 3DSensor fibre optic displacement sensor – the first composite fibre optic sensor, enabling measurement of vertical and horizontal displacement of the surrounding medium (e.g. soil, concrete) over distances of up to 120 km. One metre of 3DSensor sensor replaces up to 200 traditional displacement sensors.
